[Changi/Pasir Ris/Tampines/Simei] Preschools

Hi
I chanced upon it while surfing desperately in 2007. Itโs in MCYS website, I think itโs a pdf doc. It lists out all the centres and the criteria they met. PMCK met all the criteria if I remember correctly, esp the part on principal and teachers. I was like strike gold and rush down immediately (kiasu and more energetic 3 yrs ago
)
Got to go now, will check tonight and let you know the exact url later. -
Hi JJmom2008
I don seem to b able to find it too. It was buried a few layers then, but now I practically click all the links still cant find it. Anyone out there can help?
It was a very boring document, either in pdf or MSWords, all words in black, rows and columns. On the 1st column is the centres name, followed by principal, teachers' qualifications, many more columns of what not, fees, etc. I was quite surprise some \"popular\" ones didn't have quite as many ticks in the columns. Anyone also came across that doc?
I guess if still cannot locate that list, you've to depend on gut's feeling and personal pref.
There's one very highly \"rated\" one, very popular, long q but we didn't choose. There were many potted plants at the corridors outside the classrooms. We find it messy and thought may attarct mossies. Also we find the toilets smell. It's not their fault though bcos I am quite freaky abt neatness and smell.
So it's best you visit the place and talk to the people there (principal, tchrs, helpers, parents, domestic helpers). I was quite aunty-aunty, therefor many willingly give me info ...haha  -

Now I find Pentecost Methodist Church Kindergaten is really fantastic. It's a gem. If you don't mind a church kindergarten, may want to check it out.
Hi agentcodybank,
Is your boy in PMC Kindergarten K2 now? I was looking for a new kindergarten for my boy. He will be in K1 next year. How much do you pay for the fee and what is the session (timing) like? You may pm me if you want to.
My son has a slight problem too. He has slight difficulties in communication and answering. I am quite worry that teachers may loose patience on him. -
My boy attended Paper Scissors Stone Montessori at Upper Changi Road East, near the Shell Petrol Station. He is now in P1 at St Hildaโs Pri and coping rather well in school. I think the school did a great job in preparing him for P1 as he has grown to be an independent and inquisitive learner which to me, is a very important aspect in learning. He used to be from a Church kindy in Tampines but that was a disappointment.

Hi, my son is in K1 now. He joined PMCK pre-nursery mid-year when he was abt 2.5 yo.

Existing students have priority placing in the kindergarten classes. You may want to call them up at 65817728 or pay them a visit to talk to the Principal.
PMCK has 2 sessions: 8.15am-11.15am and 12.00pm - 3.00pm. They also have a good range of enrichment classes, which I find are value for money. This is because the classes are conducted in familiar environment before/after sch, I do not need to make extra trips and also the programmes are quite well-known, e.g. Helen O'Grady Speech & Drama.
Sorry off hand i can't remember how much is the term fee as I pay via CDA baby account. It must be reasonable because the fee is also one of my consideration when i signed him up then.
At that time, my son not only had problem communicating, his speech was not clear at all to the extend even I as his mother couldn't understand him! But if you hear him speak now, you would be very surprise, his diction is so clear that you can even hear the \" t \" and \" th \" clearly! His chinese is so powerful that he even reads to his elder brother! (Hope DS1 doesn't see this, he was actually quite angry that his younger brother teaches him chinese  )
My son's teachers are definitely patient and love children. He has been there for quite some time, so he has practically tried most of the teachers, and all of them are fantastic.
Hope that helps
All the best !
