What I find puzzling is that with low birth rate ie 2004....why are places so hotly contested? Too many PRs? Or too many new flats around these places hence big clusters?

Can't be the PRs. They would have ZERO excess to the earlier Phases.

We cannot forget the P1 phase leh :?
PRs born in Singapore will be conted in the national birthrate. PRs not counted in the birthrate, are those born out of Singapore. For Phase 1, the siblings have to be already studying there right.. which means chances are they have to be PRs a couple of years back at least...

Anyway, I believe what BigD said is right, the parents of 2004 are flooding the 'better' schools hence we see the influx.. the reduced intakes in the more sought-after schools doesn't help either... 😞

Welcome, you've come to the right place! My son's born in 2006 as well, which school are you eyeing?

                    Spikey,

Ya… will move in to my parent’s house in AMK. within 1km.

I m staying in punggol now… After my gal goes into P1, whether or not we get into Aitong, I still will move in my mum place.

Because I will not consider student care. 2ndly, I can start to teach them homework after my dinner / bath. If I am going to travel back to my house, by the time we reach home already 9plus. They will not hv time to study anymore. And still hv to wake up early the next morning…

Did you do any volunteer work during the period? I'm also waiting for their answer. Also applying for TNS and joined less than 2 years too.

Did you get the coveted letter?
