Now I find Pentecost Methodist Church Kindergaten is really fantastic. It's a gem. If you don't mind a church kindergarten, may want to check it out.
Hi agentcodybank,
Is your boy in PMC Kindergarten K2 now? I was looking for a new kindergarten for my boy. He will be in K1 next year. How much do you pay for the fee and what is the session (timing) like? You may pm me if you want to.
My son has a slight problem too. He has slight difficulties in communication and answering. I am quite worry that teachers may loose patience on him. -
My boy attended Paper Scissors Stone Montessori at Upper Changi Road East, near the Shell Petrol Station. He is now in P1 at St Hilda’s Pri and coping rather well in school. I think the school did a great job in preparing him for P1 as he has grown to be an independent and inquisitive learner which to me, is a very important aspect in learning. He used to be from a Church kindy in Tampines but that was a disappointment.

Hi, my son is in K1 now. He joined PMCK pre-nursery mid-year when he was abt 2.5 yo.

Existing students have priority placing in the kindergarten classes. You may want to call them up at 65817728 or pay them a visit to talk to the Principal.
PMCK has 2 sessions: 8.15am-11.15am and 12.00pm - 3.00pm. They also have a good range of enrichment classes, which I find are value for money. This is because the classes are conducted in familiar environment before/after sch, I do not need to make extra trips and also the programmes are quite well-known, e.g. Helen O'Grady Speech & Drama.
Sorry off hand i can't remember how much is the term fee as I pay via CDA baby account. It must be reasonable because the fee is also one of my consideration when i signed him up then.
At that time, my son not only had problem communicating, his speech was not clear at all to the extend even I as his mother couldn't understand him! But if you hear him speak now, you would be very surprise, his diction is so clear that you can even hear the \" t \" and \" th \" clearly! His chinese is so powerful that he even reads to his elder brother! (Hope DS1 doesn't see this, he was actually quite angry that his younger brother teaches him chinese  )
My son's teachers are definitely patient and love children. He has been there for quite some time, so he has practically tried most of the teachers, and all of them are fantastic.
Hope that helps
All the best !

Dear jmm,
Does Paper Scissors Stone Montessori have another branch @ 30 Jalan Pergam? Or they are actually the same school you are referring to? I saw the website and was shocked that the registration fee is already $150. Bet that the term fee must be very expensive. -
Hi Maylin,
Yes, that is the only branch.
I can’t remember how much I paid for registration the last time. School fees was $1350 per term as it was Montessori based. I think it has increased. Yes, it was steep but my boy thrived in that environment. I jokingly asked to switch him back to the Church kindy and he protested. Said he loves going to PSSMK and do not wish to switch anywhere else. So, no choice, just gotto endure the high school fees. At least I can see results from what the high fees I paid. He didnt have to go for any other enrichment lessons as he could read and write well. The school has project based work and it further enhances his creative mind. Anyway, perhaps you can pay a visit to the school and see if you like the environment. -

Glad to hear that your son is doing very well in school. But I believe your son is also born clever and a fast-learner, hence he can absorb so much from what he had learnt. My son is a bit slow in communication. He talks a lot but at times, I (as a mother) can't even understand what he is talking. He can only answer qn that were asked or taught him how to answer before. If you pop up qn like \"How's sch today\" \"How did you fall?\", he will only stare at you blankly. Yet, he can spell many words, count to 100, read books etc. But he just simply doesn't know how to converse when it requires him to elaborate on his answer. Weird huh?Hi Maylin,
Yes, that is the only branch.
.
I can see that kids who are attending SPS Monte are pretty smart & fast and I'm worried whether my son will be able to catch up. Tho he is 4, he still behaves and think like 3.
Sorry for my long-winded msg and hearing me nag-nag-nag. Thousand apologies. -

I've called the kindy and will check the place out next week. Did they allow you to tour round the classess during session? The lady on the phone sounds very friendly and warm. -
Hi yeomaylin
Yes, I did tour the place but not the entire place. I think I missed the water play area as there was no scheduled water play session on that day.
Once I got a good feel of their program and teachers, and could also sense my son feeling very happy (first time he didn't cry but smile in an unfamiliar place), I make the decision in my heart on the spot
Cheers. -
That’s a good idea to bring the child along. Thank you.
