      Hi

I am registering my boy to Fairfield this July2010 under phrase 2A2 as my hubby is an ex-student.

I would like to find out what is it like in current primary school...... the education method, culture...

My boy is now in MMI, worried that he can fit into classroom study env.
      Any parent pls advise.

      Thanks!
My son is in P1 this year. I like their program \"Path for active learning\" where the students learn dancing and track & field (they have to stay back every thursday). The P1s are also having Gymnastic during PE lessons. Maybe you can visit the school website and read the newslink letters.

Heard that the workload will be heavier from P2 onwards, maybe P1 is honeymoon period. There is no exams but quite a number of tests and weekly spellings. My son has been enjoying himself so far.

        Hi Mango

Thanks for sharing your experience at Fairfield....

Oh so Primary 1 have no exams? That's a good new for the children.....
Guess they can have more time adapting to the primary school env and education system.

              Hi parents

My son is in P3 this year at Fairfield and did quite badly for his SA1 Science and English papers. Am thinking of getting a private tutor to coach him. Do any parents out there have any good tutor to recommend for both Science and English. I'm staying at Clementi.

              Many thanks! 😉

                Hi all,

My son will be in P1 in FMPS in 2011.

I am staying in Jurong East Street 21 and i am seeking if anyone is interested to car pool so that our kids can sleep a bit longer and we might be able to save some time or $.

Currently, i know that school bus pick up time at my place is 620am. If i can find 2 or 3 parents staying near my location, we can

                a) take turns to fetch the kids to and back from school.

                or

                b) booked a taxi to fetch the kids to and from school everyday. The cost is approx the same as the bus but the journey time is less than half.

We can discuss this offline in more detail, please email me at [email protected] if you are staying near me.

                Cheers
                dp

                    Hello

My ds will be P1 in FMPS 2011. Really thank God 🙏 for securing him there... 'cos although we are under Phase 2B, we still have to go through balloting process... And it's 50% chance only.

We received a letter and it has \"House\" indicated. Is this the one we base on to purchase PE attire? Or do we have to wait till orientation day to know which class he is?

Anyone has any idea how much will school bus costs from Bukit Batok/Jurong to FMPS and return?

                      Hello CarolTansn,
I went thru the same experience as you udner 2B but thank God that her name was the 1st to be called. I just went to the school to purchase the testbook and uniform. No crowded at all. I think we can safely buy 2 set of PE attire and I bought 3 set of the uniform since my helper is going back to Philippines in jan and I have no intention to get another helper (my daughter will be in Aldergates). The \"house' represent the class I believe, she is with 'Martin'.

The house is not the class, the house is like a "team/group" the children are being allocated to. and they keep their house for all the yrs in the school.

There are martin, blackmore, eveland, olson. they are represented by colors. So the PE attire comes in diff colors on the collar n sleeve "edges" .
