Thks for yr reply, Mrs Wong.

Is the other brand better than Childlife?
Complaints from my maid: It's harder to dissolve compared to ChildLife. Might cause lumps which clog the teat.

To me: It means there's lesser chemicals in it that's why it does not dissolve easily (surfactants). So we just need to work harder at stirring it into the milk.
If you are using formula milk powder, just mix with the powder before you add water. There will not be lumps this way.
If you are giving fresh milk, like me, then you will need to warm up the milk first, then stir in the powder. Since it's only once a day, I'm quite alright with it.

In terms of effectiveness, I find both are the same. No difference when we switched brands.

Mrs Wong, Do you give the probiotics power together with symbiotics colostrum powder at the same time?

        (in the formula milk)?

Depends on the weight. They do have shipping via normal post at US$4 (there are limits on this).
              www.iherb.com:
-International Airmail (available to selected countries): A Flat $4.00! This option applies to orders valued up to $80.00, and weighing 3 lbs or less. This shipment method has a 1 to 4 week delivery time.
Please note: If you choose Airmail delivery, you will not be able to track your order. However, airmail deliveries are very reliable and are a favorite shipping method for our valued customers in Europe and Asia Pacific with an average delivery time of 10 days (including weekends). Also, chances are high that you will not pay any additional customs import taxes.

I have tried this method quite a few times (for not expensive items like organic lollipops). It is actually quite fast, reached me in about a week.

Shampoo & conditioner are heavy items!
To make it worth it, you should order all the bulky items togyuer in 1 shipment. Tt's what I normally do & my shipping for US$240 is ard US$30.
you must know how to play around with the items to maximise shipping.
Some of my friends split their items into a few packages.

                        schweppes:

But when girls were younger - about ur ds age, I bought Oregano oil (from Vitakids) which also has anti-bacterial properties. As the oil is very strong, I did not want dds to take it neat.

When the girls were younger and had runny nose or congestion, this is what I did:

                        1. Splash 2-3 drops onto my hands, rub the oil in both hands, and then gently rub the oil into dds chest (whilst they were sleeping). I did not rub the oil directly onto dds chests as the heat from the oil is very strong, so I let my hands absorb the heat, thereby reducing the discomfort for my kids.

                        2. Massage their feet with the oregano oil, ala foot reflexology concept. The soles of the feet will absorb the oil into their system.

Now, that they are older, I get them to take it neat - 2 drops under their tongues. Alternatively, if ds is older and can swallow, you can give him capsules which is easier for the child to ingest.

                        Dear Schweppes,

Oregano oil really works !! Its waaaay sooooo much more effective than baby vicks.

I have used that on 2 occasions when DS's nose was congested and he slept literally like a baby, unlike in the past when we used vicks.

I don't know about you, but I find the aroma absolutely divine

Thanks for this 'valuable' tip :celebrate:
