My hubby prefer MS to SJI due to the standard of CL. I think my boy can handle higher CL & afraid his standard would drop if he goes to SJI (most of the SJI friends we had in college sucks in CL). My elder girl is strong in both languages & find that she's not quite challenged with her CL in IJTP. Thus we're hoping not to make the same mistake with my boy.


We're actually just slightly out of 2km from MS. At non-peak hours, the travel time can be shorter going to MS than SJI. On the other hand, we don't wish to take the risk of balloting if there's a choice so it's back to

I agree with you that CL in IJ isn't challenging (never been). My son is in Pei Hwa and taking HCL. Putting daughter in IJTP...I definitely foresee her standard dropping in time to come. But I hope she take HCL in P2, since she has tuition.

IJTP does not offer HCL till P4 or P5. Personally I think it's a little too late. That's why I've to let my girl continue her CL tuition to prevent standard from dropping. Trying to get her to AGREE to transfer to St Nicks

My kids' doc prepare a vaccination cert for each of them & is attached in the health booklet.

I thought withdrawing from a secured seat registered under earlier phase to go MSH is a big risk since MHS is likely to go for balloting beyond 2km? May end up with nothing "liang tou bu zhao an".

It depends on school itself. I d/l from NIR site itself but the school called me up to remind us to bring the health booklet instead.

Hi Lizzy,

My SIL’s daughter is in St Nicks. Stressful man…she’s taking normal Chinese at P5.

My son will be in P5 next year…most prob will let him drop HCL since it’s already demanding now and with a packed year preparing for P6, no point spending too much time on 1 subject.

Since my daughter is taking CL tuition, I feel that she should be doing better than average and not just pass the subject. BTW, she is going to P1 next year in IJ TP.

So, are you pulling out to join in the balloting at MS? *tough decision* i feel! :?

thinking of...cos we are neaer to MS...SJIJ is a bit further away...I'm speculating the sch bus will take about 1 hr to and 1 hr back...by the time the boy come back, he will be too tired for anything.:(

I had both with me but they said they prepared the one printed from the website.
