      Hi Lizzy,

My SIL's daughter is in St Nicks. Stressful man...she's taking normal Chinese at P5.

My son will be in P5 next year...most prob will let him drop HCL since it's already demanding now and with a packed year preparing for P6, no point spending too much time on 1 subject.

Since my daughter is taking CL tuition, I feel that she should be doing better than average and not just pass the subject. BTW, she is going to P1 next year in IJ TP.
Language subjects is a breeze for my girl. She only study for her EL & CL spelling in school before the test (very lucky me). Problem is the girl gets bored with things really fast so I thought she might find it more interesting doing HCL. Another problem is she gives up easily when she's not able to learn things fast. ai ya, kids these days so difficult to please..

Just came back from MSH, keeping my fingers crossed..

          Hi Lizzy,

Your gal is in IJ TP ? Which level now ?
My gal can’t sit still…I’m having a headache just getting her to learn her spelling/听写 (K2) every week. HCL can be exciting, esp since it’s more indepth. Kids these days are VERY hard to handle, given their different characters.

All the best to you. Maris Stella right ?

How to ask pple not to go? An IDIOT colleague of mine still happily came to tell me that she introduced MSH to another 5 pple, encouraging them to enrol their sons there!

Just wondering… if u r >2KM or even >1KM… n knows there will be balloting… would u vountarily opt out n apply elsewhere less popular… and maybe create a no-ballot situation… or wait for others to opt out instead… hoping u have better luck than others?

Was asking hubby the same thing too. Does it mean that those staying out of 2km will have to look for another school ? Or still go for balloting ?

I rather skip balloting. I attended a balloting session for my company's D&D this Jan. Heart almost stopped and when we were not successful, the kind of feeling was beyond disappointment. My colleague even questioned if our ballot paper was in the bowl. That's why I am going to St. Stephen's later.

Personally, I would go through the balloting. If I had qualified under P2B, it means I was either a PV, etc. Since I had already spent my time contributing, why not go through the balloting? We still have P2C.

If you have the chance to go through balloting, go ahead, imho.

Of course must look for another school if you don't even have the chance to go through balloting.
