Babe, this is a thankless job. Given a choice, I would want to be a FTWM...pastures are always greener on the other end. With both of them at home in the afternoon, I am very frustrated :clubmyself: and by night time, my patience is worn out and sometimes vent on the kids, then feel very very guilty 😒
:snuggles: yeah, Sun is right, don't be so hard on yourself.. if it makes you fell better, I also have my days of short fuse and guilt..

        Hi Mummies,

        Thanks for your consolation.
I was dreading the thought of both of them in different sessions next year, thinking that my days of peace in the morns are over. But with them fighting over everything in the afternoon, I think the different sessions is A BLESSING IN DISGUISE.

it would give you more time to guide them individually and cater to their needs... but might be tiring for you.. so take care and don't neglect yourself..try to take some me time..

            Hi RRMummy,

I understand son will have compulsory supplementary lessons twice a week at P5, so maybe will go IMM for a stroll.
Although tiring, I think it’s better for them to be separated esp since younger one is in P1 and I can’t possibly be telling her to watch TV while I attend to son.

              It IS, trust me πŸ˜‰
I intentionally placed my kids in separate sessions since their preschool years so that I can have some sanity. They will be in same session when P3 & P5. That will be in year 2013 !

You know, I have 3 hours when both go to school now. On certain days, I do housework in the morning, cook simple lunch and surf net. Rather shiok to enjoy quiet and peace until 12pm. When son returns at 145pm, my quiet santuary becomes a zoo 😒
230-4pm (nap) - both of them will be fighting over eraser, pencil, writing space...in short EVERYTHING.

So even though I have to coach daughter in the morning next year and then son in the afternoon, I think it will not be as taxing as I thought.
At least I don't have to cut myself into 2.
