Hi Mummies,
I just received the confirmation letter in my letter box. Orientation is on 12th Nov.
This year, we will have to spend a bomb on kids’ school books - P1 textbooks and uniform as well as P5. -

Hi janet_lee888,Hi Champion,
Don't think about registration for your son yet...that is 3 years later.
Register your daughter first. I did think about the new condos sprucing up in TP...esp the Peak which is within 1km to IJ TP. It's quite a concern for those parents who are buying because of the proximity to the school. Just behind Peak, there is another project beside Hub.
thanks for the advice, well I guess I can only hope for the best for my daughter. will register for phase 2B tomorrow 1-2km. I guess we have to risk balloting worst comes to worst. but I hope not. good luck to everyone! -
Hi Champion,
There are 53 places for Phase 2B. For the past 3 years, balloting was required for those staying more than 2km. I wish you all the best and that you won’t have to ballot since staying within 1-2km. -
Hi Champion,
I understand balloting is for those staying out of 2km. Do you stay 1-2km of IJ ? Hope your daughter gets in succesfully. All the best

I've checked with the school this evening, yes it is true, there will be balloting for out of 2km. I am 1-2km, so my daughter got through.
I sincerely, would like to wish good luck to all those who have to go through balloting next week. I really hope, your daughters will have a place. all the best. -

As for parents going for balloting next week, I wish you all the best too. -
Hi Mummies,
May I know if it’s difficult/chaotic to get uniforms and school books on the day of orientation pls ? Thinking of being very KS by getting some of the books earlier using the present booklist. Pls advise. Thanks. -

My girl is at SNG but I prsume it should be the same.
Books - we just ordered online (or did we just fax the order list?). The booklist was sent to us. It was delivered straight to us. Easy. Don't do it during orientation. Very chaotic if you are als getting unis.
Uniform was a bit Chaotic. Had to try and buy during orientation.

For my son, I faxed the booklist to the bookshop...they prepared it for us beforehand and we ticked the box on date to collect...much easier. He is in P4. The vendor told us that for P1, it was chaotic...with parents crowding round them after the orientation. Thus I am rather concerned about this and was thinking of getting the books earlier.

No choice but to be kiasu bcos I hate to go to the school, queue up only to hear no stock for sizes. -

During my dd's year, there was no book sale or uniform sale during orientation. Is it different this year? There were a few days when they sold the books for the various levels, so it wasn't that bad as parents would go on different days. I'd ordered the books before that, so it was easy to collect and then pay. I'm not sure if my experience is the same for others.Hi Mummies,
