Hi autumn,

Her spelling/听写 was supposed to start last term, but a number of kids like my gal, wasn’t prepared. So the teacher started only in Term 3.

I sit beside my daughter when she learns her spelling…most prob will continue to do so when she goes to P1 (maybe P2). Going to CHIJ TP, I think she will get to enjoy primary school life more as compared to older sibling who is in Pei Hwa. Chinese will be relaxed (in school) but I do not want her to slack.

Parents whose children have got a place in their school can sit back and breathe easier. As for others going for balloting this week and those in Phase 2C, I sincerely wish you all the best. Don’t lose heart if your child doesnt get to enter the school as this will affect his/her morale.
yes they will

they probably will also have an independent witness to audit the process to ensure it is not biased

                  Hi autumn,

I would consider to be her kindy to be more ‘on’ now as compared to son’s time in K2. For spelling, it’s considered easy. Words like ‘space’, ‘higher’, 'race, ‘skirt’. Very common words. For 听写, a bit trickier so I give her a little more time to learn.

Toking about 听写... i think my CL2 really very chiak lat! I am actually learning from my son how to write the strokes (the numbering).

Apparenly, my strokes for eg: 妈 have been incorrect all these years --- and how did it got spotted?? My hb actually pointed it out to me when he was looking at my step-by-step instruction for my boy!!

                      :stupid:
I saw in the MOE website that some sch has either more than 100 or close to 100 P2B aplns. Since these schs are secular type, how is it possible to accept more than 100 PV in a yr?

They dont control the PV's

understand that some were NOT PVs but are grass root leaders, which are also under P2B. Schools can control, if they want to, the number of PVs, but not the number of GRL
agree, I think most schools control the no. of PVs, but they can't control no. of GRLs.
And society/clan contributes a large number, and could even be the bulk of all those 2b applns.
