The Maths & Science Camp was alright according to my son. The English part was the most draining as they had to write and that to him was not much fun. He enjoyed it but felt that it was too short a duration. Was better than what he had expected. Regardless of the outcome, I think it was a good opportunity for him to learn and make some new friends…

All the best to your son! I must say that as a parent you have a great attitude and your son is very fortunate! 🙂

          Hi all,

Now we are in the final stage of DSA - the Interview season. Many students, especially GEPs, might have completed their interviews.

Can any student (or the parent) share the Interview experience? Like what questions were asked, how many interviewers were in the Panel? etc.

Thanks a lot and best wishes for all DSA applicants.

so far has not heard of one-student to few-teachers type of interview format.

it has always been a few teachers to a group of students......so, it is more like chit chat sessions

some questions being asked : what value add can you bring to the school ? what other school have you applied for ? which will you choose ?(this is a wicked question, to me)

Yes agree. they love to ask the last question. I really pity the kids that have to be interview savvy at such a young age!

Do the studetns normally wait for the interviewers to pick them to talk one by one to show manner or be more agressive (kiasu) to grap chance to talk? What do they look at by putting a few students together ? to save time or what? :?

Actually, NYGH interview format is one student to a few teachers. Previous years anyway.
