Why stress over something beyond your control?

And since you know balloting will happen, do a backup plan. Nothing beats being prepared. And it would help to lessen the stress.

Be glad you have friends balloting with you to cheer with you and to provide mutual support.

A friend once told me, when he cheered when his child's name was picked, he could feel the starse & the \"invisible\" daggers thrown at him by the other parents.

I know how it feels cos they did balloting for PV as well and it was like striking lottery.

This kind of thing 有人欢喜有人愁. No choice, just be subdued a bit even if one is feeling like he struck 10M toto.

this year is definitely exceptional. TNS has never had a history of balloting for <1km under 2B. This is the first time its happening.

Thanks to the number of condos and private apartments that have sprung up like mushrooms in the neighbourhood. It is very likely to stay this way for future years.

agreed. i feel so immobile in that area now......so congested

i wonder how these parents feel now when at initial thots of buying these hses there at hefty prices,
hoping to get into TNS but in the end still need to ballot.

You may need another backup school. There is a slight possibility of all places of NAPS taken up in phase 2C, leaving none for phase 2C supplement.

There are some spill over effect seen in phase 2B. Probably from grassroots leaders that are staying > 1km from TNS, switched to NAPS when they realise they have no chance with TNS.

:idea: Sell the house to next group of parents aiming for TNS and make a decent profit.

If only this thing was managed a little better...
It's definitely better to be \"turned away\" at an early date so the parents can make other plans.
So many had to do PV and Grassroots and Society work, move house and then ballot again.

This year, 24 schools compared to 13 last year had to ballot in phase 2b.
