Hi have checked out the moe web other than our ic, child bc and immunisation details, are there any forms to download and fill up coz i don c any.. also for de lasalle if i zap the copies myself and just submit at the sch do they accept or i must personally do it at the sch. thks. next mon ph2c is coming i am so anxious. any other mummies also vying for this sch

Like the rest have shared, no forms to be downloaded. *Everything done
in person. (*registration). Zapping all copies yourself is the best way to
go. Just remember to bring all the originals for them to check against &
endorse your copy as a certified true copy. EG. Nric, birth cert, health
booklet, (etc).. Other DLS-ians can add? Any other stuff that DLS had
      asked for during your registration?

      Good luck, doratheexplorer! :xedfingers:

Thanks buds for your explaination. Just to confirm for eg. In phase 2C it exercise of balloting, unfortunately we can’t get the place. Do we still have 2 ballots slips on the next phases?

Actually I am trying to register my son in DLS and we r staying within 1 km from the school, don’t know how much chance to get in?

this Singaporean gets 2 ballot slips thingy is applicable to all balloting that may occur when the number of applications exceed the number of vacancies from Phase 2A1 to Phase 2C(Supplementary).

It is very unlikely that you would have any chance at all with DLS, as balloting will be likely (almost certain) to be for within 1km.

But since you are within 1km to SV, you would have a chance to ballot. The odds would be very small. My guess would be between 2-4 person for 1 place. Thus, it would be wise to have a backup plan under phase 2C supplement if you are registering at PV.

              Good Luck !

May I ask why most of the parents prefer DLS? I am just wondering…

                    Hi all,

I think DLS is terribly over-rated. Do you know that in terms of academic excellence, the schools in CCK area rank as follows:

                    Rank School Index

                    1 South View 2.90

                    2 Unity 2.46

                    3 Concord 1.80

                    4 Yew Tee 1.79

                    5 Choa Chu Kang 1.70

                    6 De La Salle 1.40

                    7 Teck Whye 0.50

                    (Not Ranked) Kranji

Source for the above rankings: http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/singapore-primary-schools-ranked-academic-excellence

You can see that DLS is in rank-6, close to the bottom. Not worth a second look, I would say.

Just because all parents 'talk' about DLS, please do not get misinformed. Why depend on 'hearsay' when you can get the 'facts' right? Honestly, DLS is not worth undergoing a ballot.

From the above table, you can see that Concord Primary (with 1% vote) and Unity Primary (with 4% vote) are really under-rated. They deserve more attention from aspiring parents in CCK area.

                    Thank you all.

Please be careful. You think DLS is overrated, thats ok, it's your opinion. But saying that it's not worth a second look?? In my opinion, I would say it IS worth a second look and it IS worth undergoing a ballot, but only because I'm looking for different things than only academic excellence. I'm not asking that you not express your opinion, but just be careful how you do it. Thanks! 😎
