      verykiasu2010:

in China, the standard class size is 50, and if the school / teachers receive incentives, the class can upsize to 60

(not saying it should happen here)

Well I guess the class size of schools in rural areas of many other countries can even go up 100 šŸ˜‰

not true, the class size in rural areas will not be up to 100

the school size is much less than 100

in certain places, Rmb 5000 can build a school library for the kids, and Rmb 50,000 can build a whole school with classrooms, toilets, teachers' room etc

So happy. My dd got in to MGS through the balloting this morning. :celebrate:

I would like to thank kiasuparents and all who contribute to this forum for your support. It's hard for those that are not in the same boat to understand what we as parents are going through. The reply I receive from all of you really help during this stressful time. Even by reading others' post already provide enough support to know that there are some like-minded people out there that understands. Kudos to those who start this site.
Now, I can relax. Good luck to those in 2C!!

Congratulations to dine, and for others who did not get through, there is always Phase 2C to try again.

@KSP - I'm not sure about the \"relax\" part. This is only the beginning of a long struggle. Primary school these days are very different from our time. We all have to unlearn what we know (or think we know) and re-learn everything from scratch in order to help our children get through Primary school. It's really a learning journey for both ourselves and our children for the next 10 years.

Oh, I said that is bcos MSG has affiliation. At least not so stressful when come to PSLE. Yeah, I agree there are lot of stuff that are very different from what we learnt during our time especially P5-P6 maths.

But I'm not that worried now because we have http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6373and other maths experts here to help.
