Hi Mummies,
Congrats to all of you who made it through balloting today.
BTW, are your boys going to Maris Stella ?
Ontherock,
All the best to you and also parents registering next wk under 2C. -
Ontherock:
Congrats to all parents boy who got in. Awaiting my 2C next week. Wish me luck :salute:
Good luck - hopefully it is not as stressed out as ours! -

Actually - almost to the end , i was kindof rooting for No. 42 - cos the pple around me were all rooting for them also!! Kindof felt abit sad that they didnt manage to get in.
There were only 4 or 5 PR. I remember calculating the chance of getting in was at 95% after factoring in the PR.Namie:
I didn't notice the number of PRs who got in. But I know the last name was a PR.
And yes, the last one was a PR because the slip stated 1/1. For SC, it is either 1/2 or 2/2. When the last slip was drawn, everyone know there is no chance of a repeat since it is 1/1. There were a set of twins who got in too. -
bigfoot:
Roger too! :salute:Lizzyho:
Thank you for all your well wishes. This is the best thing to know while sick in bed. Hubby wanted to go and attend the balloting but only managed to reach there when all the action just ended. Got a verbal confirmation from a teacher. When he called to tell me, I was like, are you sure, don't make a mistake! Thank God for answering our prayers. Looks like we'll soon be migrating to the parent support group forum!
Congrats! See you at PSG.

Mine was in the LAST 7. Almost given up hope. Who got it later than me?Enjoy your celebration!

Hi BigFoot
Were you in the second row, corner seat with your hubby? I heard someone heave a huge sigh of relief and started to almost shed tears of joy...
I almost cried too upon hearing my son's name. -
cherrygal:

And i saw my ex Sec school senior in Netball in the front few rows too!! Wonder if her son got in? Didnt manage to tok to her... -
I did a comparison of the applicants and the final selected list. 3 of the 5 PRs did not get in. I guess the 2 ballot slips for citizens do work.
Hope those who didn’t get in will find a good school soon. The VP said MSH does not accept appeal cases for P1. They only take in transfers at P2 level, and the kid must take an entrance exam. They will select based on results. Those who want to transfer must apply to the school, fill in a form and wait till Oct 2011 when they hold the entrance exams to P2. In the meantime, the kid must study at another primary school. -

Yes, you are right. The kids have to take an entrance exam which comprises of all the subjects. Only the top few will be selected.I did a comparison of the applicants and the final selected list. 3 of the 5 PRs did not get in. I guess the 2 ballot slips for citizens do work.

BTW, does anyone know the definition of a "full school"? Why are some schools considered full school and some are not, even if their primary and secondary are in the same premises? For eg, MSH, CHS, CHIJ St Nicholas are full schools but not CHIJ Toa Payoh? Why?
