      Heyya honeystar,

      You ARE indeed lost...

      newbies.. 😉

      And now for your
      urgent question..

      PV usually good to
      submit application
      2 years prior to your
      child's Primary 1

      Our fantastic site has
      easy to navigate features
for you to check out on the
      primary schools in Singapore.
      Track records, location, etc...
      Only don't have school uniform
      sample and canteen menu so
far... other than that quite complete
lah.. Hope you find what you want, k.

To start, click the index under Primary
      Schools Selection and registration to
check out the feedback share by our
parents, to read up more on the sch
      of your choice..
Hey Bud, thks for the advice. I'm juz like a army new recruit :? BLUR!

hi myprecious, since we both leave in the same area, mind sharing which you think is the best school in woodlands? How does your school line-up look like?

BTW, my K1 is due for registering in 2010. A few on my list are Evergreen, Admiralty and Woodgrove - but no idea which is better… Thank for sharing

Oh... I got the best few woodlands school through the poll in the topic of woodlands school in this forum.

My list is the same as yours, Admiralty, Evergreen and woodgrove. Did you do any PV for your K1?

                myprecious:
went online to check there are about 6 schools within 1km of my hse. The nearest one is considered quite popular in woodlands and I have not done any PV for my son who needs to register this year... is it too late to start now? :?

opps, sorry myprecious, just saw your previous entry... so you will go for Phase 2C of Evergreen as first choice?

BTW, which is the nearest popular school you were referring to? The environment ok? The children coming out of the school well behaved?

Most likely Evergreen as first choice for phase 2C.

Evergreen is the nearest school to my place. Haven't really check up on the school's background but heard from a parent that Evergreen has alot of homework. I believe there is no 100% well behaved students in any school be it the most popular or least popular. It very much depends on our own children's discipline. 🙂

Evergreen phase 2C for past few years go thru balloting, so better that you have a backup plan. Unless, this year is any different from the past 3 years, admiralty and woodgrove will have no Phase 2C supplementry... that's why headache... 😐

yup, agree no 100% well-behaved but an overall feel helps.. have encountered in bus and mrt that some schools have loads of very loud, swearing and violent-play which involves pushing and kicking each other.. don't seem fun or funny to me.. :!: for me, sure blacklist these schools

                      Hi to all,

I"m new. been reading up this forum few days back after I realise I"m so late in finding pre schs for my girl next year…so better prepare myself for her P1.

She will be in P1 year 2014. so does that mean to be a PV, I’ve gotta start sending in my application in year 2011 1st july?

And if successful, clock hours from either 1st july 2011 to 30 june 2012 /
                      1st july 2012 to 30 june 2013? correct?

Any CHIJ TPY PV here? I’m staying just wee away from the 2km leh, 2.065. Sigh…wondering if be PV, got higher chance or not and can be in phase 2B right?

Wow u are indeed early! For P1 in 2014 (means registering in july 2013), u need to sign up as a PV latest by 1 july 2012. Some schools open/close their PV applications earlier so u can start writing in from mid/end 2011. Then start clocking the hours up till june 2013. But some schools dont allow u to start too early whereas others allow you to start from the day u are accepted as a PV. Do note that some schools require more than MOE's mandantory 40 hours, and a lot are restricting their PV intake nowadays.

Yes, being a PV will qualify u under phase2B. But since you stay out of 2km from CHIJ TPY, you would probably still need to ballot based on last 2 years' trend (ie. not guaranteed a place). And if the applications are overwhelming in 2013, you may not even have a chance to ballot.
