(I know this is not the right way to teach children)

This poll is all about what we parents want their child to be at first thought. It could be when the child was first born, or first day of school when u start to imagine the future. Not about right or wrong teaching.

OKOK... this is noted - a bit guilty mah.

        BigDevil:
When she was younger, DD said she wants to become a bus driver so she can drive us anywhere. We then told her buses travel on fixed route, and she switched to wanting to be a taxi driver.

Then after a trip to the zoo, she again switched \"job\" to become a KFC cashier (and only at the KFC outlet at the zoo!)
        So cute

They can't survive in this world by solely being happy. One day when we are gone, they have to survive on their own and life is more than just being happy.

Becoming doctors would be nice. But doctors are always in contact with germs & virus, job hazard. So Iโ€™ve since changed my mind.

Jobs must be safe and ideally generate lots of income. I hope they become my ๆ‘‡้’ฑๆ ‘ with decent occupations of course. Oh, I also hope they are super filial so that they wouldnโ€™t mind splurging on me. Otherwise becoming big & famous also pretty useless

dd1 wants to be an author - I hope as successful as J K Rowling !
dd2 wanna be a super star pianist - Iโ€™m thinking Jay Chou !

I remember the following conversation with my son about 3 yrs ago:

Me: better be an architect when you are grown-up
DS: what do you do now?
                  Me: why bother about me?
DS: If architect is so good, then why you donโ€™t become an architect by yourself?
