I checked from the same website given by BigDevil. I checked by using 'From/To' method.

maybe u can use the \"school inquiry\" method in onemap.sg, there is this icon on top of the page that u can use.

when use this function, the schools within 1 km will appear red,i believe there is a round-up method in computing which sch are within 1 km

for example, all along i was using an unofficial website to determine the nearby school and it reflected that a school was just a little off the 1 km zone. However when i used the onemap, it is computed to be <1km. A call to that school also confirms that the school is within 1 km.

so if u missed that 1km by a few meters, i believe it might be still in.

another way is to call the school to find out. Likely the school is also using this website to determine the distance.

Oh no no...you should not use the From/To because that will give you the driving distance. MOE's definition of 1km is to draw a 1km radius circle around the school. You should use the SchoolQuery service in onemap. But again, it's best to confirm your distance category with the school.

You can try calling the schools, but they might not entertain you if they are too busy. Since both schools are only 1km away from your home, then you might want to stop by and check.

I’m considering bpps but if they conduct ballot for within 1km i’ll go for beacon.

I hope there will be no balotting for beacon.
