Yaa.. how arh submit exam paper without name?
Yikes! :!: -
These 5 months are not just for learning how to write Chinese name…whole lot more than that.
I plan to give her a good foundation for K2 - Maths/English/Chinese.
Have to stretch her a little more esp in Term 4. -

My dd2 is still very much in honeymoon mood. I told her P1 is merely 5 months away.
Alas, 5 months is like a decade to her. She thought she has plenty of time to idle -
To a child in kindy, if you tell him/her about P1. It’s like ‘what’s that ?’
I forbid my son to brainwash my daughter. Even when I coach her in her work, I try not to exert pressure on her. Primary school is a long way to go. Let her enjoy a little more until Term 4 when I teach her what is time-table, remind her about self-help skills and telling the time.
Anyway, the first few months in P1 will be sort of a honeymoon for them. -
Does anyone know of any good English enrichment classes/ centres for P1 onwards?
take it easy, there is 5 more months to practise.

i lack this foresight and chose to give my ds2 a name that has so many strokes.. :stupid:
My DS's name is easy to write, we planned ahead fearing that he would be punished to write his name 100 times by some teacher some day.
we too tankee..

 Oh dear... that must have been super stressful for the you and the poor kiddo..
I recall once i had an SOS request to coach a K2
boy to read in September, some time after school
hols. I realized upon assessment that he doesn't
even know his ABCs!
But I suppose with your intervention it was a success story. :celebrate: -
There is standardization in primary school as principals have to follow guidelines set by MOE. However, this is not the case for kindergartens.
Some kindys give kids 2 lines of spelling in K2. Childcare can give 2-3 lines for Chinese spelling. My daughter’s spelling list for Chinese is inconsistent. Last week she had to remember 8 characters (4 pairs of ci yu). Last night I was just asking hubby his opinion, should children enjoy K2 or push to learn and prepare for P1 ???
Primary schools are doing away with CA/SA, shouldn’t kindergartens/childcare allow the children to enjoy childhood ? -

we too tankee.. :D
In our case... just the sirname is already a BIG challenge. (15 strokes). They only focus on their name and pick up the sirname subsequently. Wonder how my hubby and sils survived that.
