Shd pay for school fees during holidays

The private kindy is asking for December school fees . The problem is that the school is closed during the entire month due to school holiday.

Is this the de-facto practice to pay when the child is not attending the school the whole month ? The same goes for the school-bus..e

This is the common practise (unfortunate for us parents)…


One of my friend was told… don’t pay, we will consider that you withdraw, then we will give the place to someone in the waiting list.

Then again from the serrvice provider, they still need to maintain the facility, staff etc…

so what to do…

if we expect to be paid for our annual leave, sick leave, etc, we should pay for school fees during the 'holiday' period too


if we are school teachers, we also expecting to be paid for the 'holiday' periods, isn't it ? so, the same logic / rationale applies

can we imagine ourselves not receiving salary during the June and December holidays ?
