      I am not coping well…

Really stressed and upset over it…Not being able to find gd tutor for my twins too…

They are only v weak in Maths and its a pity if this pull them down from overall score…I dunno what went wrong in Maths but its a killer subject to them…

I suppose they can score an A in eng n MT but I am worried that they will flunk Maths…Will they be asked to repeat P6? Science should also be at least a B…

I am on the verge to give up…School has been very supportive with morning remedial starting at 630am daily, after school on some days and giving them prelim papers of top school…

Your children's school is very ON, wish ds's school could do a bit more of this kind of support, his school (or at least his class) seems very slack this year. Even ds felt this way too. Makes me :nailbite:

My twins are in the top class so thats explained why but their results are the bottom of the class....

Their classroom is even air-conditioned! The teachers are very ON and excellent...Will keep on sms or call me when necessary to discuss how to help my twins with their work...I am really impressed but yet my twins are not working hard enough...

            Really envy your children.

Mine will NOT be taking psle in air con hall/room cos school is at lousy old old holding site. 😛

Don't see much effort by the school in pushing up their marks. Maybe the prelim results would serve as a wakening call to all, including the teachers & mgt team.

Yep, my dd’s science teacher can’t even remember what’s osmosis ! only know how to "outsource" ie. ask them to do the online problem sum.com instead of giving them math homework ! btw, sometimes my dd said she’s stressed but most of the times, she’s reading newspapers, singing korean pop - didn’t see her revising and working hard !!

i’m torn bet asking her not to worry/stressed abt PSLE and working harder (just 2 months only) ! can’t really tell if she’s really stressed (if so, then i don’t want to push her) that’s why she’s de-stressing in the evening ? she’s still learning piano and painting - though DH has asked her to stop these activities (he’s trying to save $$ - piano lessons getting so expensive - each lesson costs $55 for 1 hr !); she still insists on taking these lesson during PSLE !!

See lah, I said DS’s school very slack, this Fri National Day Celebration so no class and dismissal at 9.30am.

Supp class this week also cancelled ‘bcos teacher has to attend workshop’. How true? Don’t know. Too many of such similar reasons quoted already.
Wonder if the school and teachers are just waiting for miracle to happen. Or is it they know that the kancheong spider parents will do their job on their behalf.
Heard 1 school is business as usual this Fri, no early dismissal. Plus supp class also on as usual.

                    Hi mumto2

Your dd has 3 supp classes per week, how are the subjects divided over the 3 days? Your dd’s teacher also seems very ON.

Will your dd be having any revision class during this Sep school holiday?

                      HI Dreamybee

since your twins are in the top class, their maths results may still be above their peers in other classes even though they may be at the bottom in their own class? so it is unlikely that they flunk their maths in PSLE? jmho…

                      hi all
my son’s school will also have early dismissal this friday to celebrate national day. never thought that is an issue for the P6s. guess it is good that they can get a break from all the mugging and have some entertainment in school. my son said he is v stressed cause there are so many papers to complete… i plan to give him other schools’ papers to do on fri afternoon so it won’t be a complete waste of time…
may also bring them out this weekend though there are science and chinese prelims next week!

I’m more kiasu cos DS’s teacher has not been doing much so far. Like I said, very slack. And I’m worried cos its only 2 months to PSLE.

DS’s prelim is held last week of the month. If results is undesirable, then only left 1 month to buck up.

Understand some schools have 2 prelims :!:
