Actually u can try CCK pri school or concord pri. They r not bad also ...

we fall in the same category. PV kanna rejected with no reason. We went thru the interview too but we know in mind that getting a chance is slim unless the parents can contribute more than what they expect. Me too thinking of day care when i'm working since i cant get into SV.

SV is getting more strict with PV. Last year's batch was the first one to go thru interview & 40+ selected. But one gd thing that they are restricting further is to ensure PV dun waste their time. On the bright side, it's better to get rejected now then contribute 40hrs & balloted out wasting your effort.

Another way if you guys want to try is joining CCK grassroots. But I'm not sure abt the rules though. Since CCK is a single ward constituent, only 2 choice sch for u to apply at Phase 2B - SV & TWPS. Unlike those big GRC like Hong Kah, u have more schs to apply as a GRC can cover several neighbourhood estates.

Tanadi - Can't provide much info on these 2 schs on academic stds. My experience with the was just in calling up to inquire on distance from my hse.

Kranji's admin staff was friendly & knowledgeable, able to provide me with the answer. TW, friendly also but the staff was a bit blur, she dun even know that the sch has a list of blks to refer to regarding distance. Gues the sch receive so few applications that they dun even have to bother abt distance breakdown.

And depending on where in CCK you stay, I find TW (from my plc in central) is quite inconvenient, it's very far inside the oop.

first of all, good luck to those school that need balloting. I went through it last year. from st anthony pri (hubby school) -> south view pri (volunteer , but 1-2km) so rejected -> de la salle (ballot in 2C) -> kranji pri (finally).

Kranji pri … hmmm … not bad so far, pri 1 and pri 2 afternoon classes, with some cca to try , then i think pri 3 they will select their cca. Teachers very prompt and helpful while study materials more or less same as other schools. Furthermore school is clean and tidy.

My kid do enjoy his lesson there, and since his chinese result not bad , was transferred to 1st class to take higher chinese (jus for fun at the moment). At the end of this yr, there will be changing of classes (based on result).

You should have registered at phase 2A2 at St. Antony. It has affialiation to SJI. One thing not sure got sch bus from CCK to Bukit Batok or not.

yes , but I am staying near yew tee point !! so need to take school bus, which I don’t think it a good idea unless I shift house

Hi Tanadi,

If you are looking for academic excellence for your child, better apply to Concord Primary School.

In academic excellence, Concord is ranked ahead of all other CCK schools except South View. Concord is ranked higher than even De La Salle. So, if you are not residing too far away from Concord, I think you should seriously try Concord.

I would definately prefer Concord or CCK primary, if I had a choice. But there is one more phase to go - Phase 2C supplementary. Am just looking for options, in case these two schools get filled. I stay close to both these schools. Are there any good schools in Bukit Panjang area, which are open for phase 3??
