i would like to advise parents not to engage a private violin and piano teacher, ev******. Her build is on the plump side. she is the most irresponsible and no standard teacher. Do not be deceived by her cheaper rates. Always got excuse for not coming for the lesson like fever, stomachache, food poisoning, got lesson cannot come, ..... or come late. she can doze off in the lesson... My girl started preparing for her july graded exam in Dec. she even had 8 times of lesson in a month before exam at her home, each lesson is 1 and 1/2 hrs. we went to her home she was still sleeping... After so many months still tell me my daughter cannot remember the scales. she was supposed to be a accompaniment on the exam day but got a replacement suddently because she got fever. the replacement teacher came late and had very little time to practise with my daughter. my girl told me she did badly in her test. i had given this teacher many chances and she even apologised to me that many things happend to her and alot of her students got affected. now what i get is a waste of money and times with this teacher....

Sad. Hopefully your daughter passes her exam? What grade?

Not many violin teachers can be accompanist though.

yes, not many that is why i endured her so long. i sms her that i should not have trusted her but she dares not reply. now my girl is so demoralised and sad. how can a teacher like this be teaching. she is out there just to earn money no passion in teaching! So pls parent… for the sake your child, do not make the same mistake i made. careful with who you engage.

S$50? That's really cheap! From Gramercy and rectangular shape? For what size violin? I want one too if that's the price.
The rectangular violin case from Gramercy looks like this one that I saw on this website:

My ds violin teacher advise us not to listen to the cd when practising the suzuki book. He said in long run does not benefit the kid as he will become reliant on it. However, my friends dd violin teachers told them to pract at home with the cd? :? Anyone who are using suzuki book have the same probm as me?
