My ds violin teacher advise us not to listen to the cd when practising the suzuki book. He said in long run does not benefit the kid as he will become reliant on it. However, my friends dd violin teachers told them to pract at home with the cd? :? Anyone who are using suzuki book have the same probm as me?

How old is your ds? Suzuki method recommends listening to the CD ahead of time too, and often. But not really to practise WITH.
