      Chinese std-

My gals eat potato kind. We don't speak it at hm... 😞

So the whole segregation of their classes is based on Chinese competency :scared: Is the test for segregation is during orientation? Oral test?

I had no idea the emphasis on Chinese was high... :?:

You still have 4 mths before Jan'11.
Start speaking Chinese at home. No joke...serious.

Segregation is only during Chinese lesson. P1 parents will be briefed during orientation.
Yes, tests will be conducted to facilitate this segregation.
There are only 3 subjects during P1-2, 4 subjects for P4-6.
Consider the marks weightage, how can Chinese not be important?

5 subjects for p5-6 if you take higher chinese.

BTW, today, the whole cohort of p4-6 went to cheer for the torch relay. Quite an experience! :stupid:

..if it were my DD2 she would be complaining already.. my lil one cannot tahan the sun.. just a few minute only she said she is melting. She said she is made of candle and will not melt only if she is eating ice-cream or drinking cold water when under the sun...

                      Hello,

My daughter will be Pri 1 in Jan 11. Been reading this thread so as to understand better what to prep for my daughter.

I am also thinking of BASC around Rulang...either the one at Blk 514 or the one at Blk 519.

Anyway, just some questions... say if i get her into the BASC, i can drop her in the morning and the BASC will bring her to school (pm session), right? What happens after school in the evening? Will the BASC staff pick them back to BASC? Or the students will go home straight after pm school? If so, do the students carry the shower/clothes bag to school?

...just trying to figure out how life goes on for such arrangement. πŸ™‚

                      thanks!

Since p1 & p2 will be in the afternoon session, you drop your child at BASC in the morning (from 7am onwards). The kid will have her breakfast and early lunch before walking to school. After school (ie 6.30pm+), you go straight to the school to pick her up.

It is quite inconvenient to take showers in BASC before school. Where to hang the moist bath towel,...?
