Hi I am new here. I had registered my girl in Phase 2C today. Hopefully she can get a place.
I know that PC standard is quite high. Any one can recommend nay good tuition centres in the area for Maths and English which can match PC standard? -

She is enjoying her self everyday. She normally has homework alomost everyday. But at the beginning of term 1, not that much. Maybe want the children to be used to pri sch life first.Hi jslow,
thanks for ur info. Will wait for Mr Koh to update us further.
Btw,hw's ur gal doing in sch?alot of wk given?
The sch emphasis that parents must learn to let go so that the child can be independent. So unlike other schs, PC only allow parents to be in the sch on either day 1 or day 2.
I like that they have dismissal in the classroom and not sit on the parade sq grounds. Some schs have dismissal at parade sq and the children have to sit on the hot ground on really hot days. -
My son is going into Pei Chun next year too. Wonder what is expected of them at P1? How are the students grouped into the classes?
-
Grouping of students at P1 seems to be random? And I think they will carry on in the same class with the same form teacher in P2, afterwhich they will be "streamed".
-
Hi jce, thanks for the advise. Are the P1 classes all at level 1? What school bags are common in the school ground? Am thinking to get an ergo school bag, any recommendations? Seems Deuter is more preferred than SPI. Before checking out on this topic, I have only heard of SPI. Is it worth getting one or a trolley bag is preferred?
-
Most of the P1 classes are on level 1 but a few are on level 2. I don’t like trolley bags as it’s difficult to go up and down the stairs with them. I bought a McNeill ergo bag for my daughter. Quite a few students use SPI but plenty of them use just "normal" bags.
-
My gal is using SPI cos it was on sale. I am not so sure abt the ergo thingy. The bag feels heavy even with only a few books. On 2nd thots, mayb i shd have bought a normal sch bag (w/o those ergo stuff). Trolley bag to me is out. I see kids running and dashing with their trolley bag. Its dangerous plus they sometimes assemble in the new school hall which is on the 2nd level. Imagine ur kid needing to carry the trolley bag up the stairs.
