This is what my boy's school 听写 for K2 :动物园，圣淘沙，鱼尾狮，飞禽公园， 国旗，庆祝国庆，我爱新加坡， 八月九日。 They'll have to learn 4 words weekly and i've hard time teaching him. He'll cry everytime when comes to his 听写. I try not to force him but it makes me angry when he starts crying everytime when i gets him to learn his 听写.

OMG :shock: your boy's 听写 is so much more scary.
Not only have to teach the bi3 hua4 but each and every other character as well!!! Your son has a phobia for 听写 already. Is the kindergarten teacher crazy or what ?

No. DD has already P5 this year. Same as most of the parents, we also bought a lot of all these books, CD for learning English, Chinese, Science and Maths when she was young.

I think now the standard is tougher than last time.

Hi, suggest you consider to get a CD-668S which has a function of 笔顺 that demonstrate the order of strokes. May be your ds may find it more interesting on learning. You can ask for demonstration and see if this way work out better to learn the 听写.

I really can’t believe the 听写 given to your son…don’t get angry ok ?
The characters are TOUGH !!!

You know something, I’m really bochap about daughter’s 听写 too, esp those which are hard to write. What I’ll do is to hold her hand and teach her to write the strokes. When she is done writing about half a page, I don’t push anymore. If she remembers, then it’s a bonus. If not, I won’t scold her either.

As for what Brenda mentioned, the Besta CD668 is good and won’t be a white elephant. I was very hesistant getting it last Oct, but now I’m using it a lot.

Yes I also find their 听写 tough ! Their previous 听写have words like 保护地球，保持清洁，环保是重要的，欧亚人，印度人 etc… Get very stress out when teaching him.

Isn't it crazy to have such difficult characters to test the kids AT K2? I have to hold her hand, teach her to write each character and the strokes correctly...have to be very very patient and praise her along the way...many times more difficult than teaching her spelling. Even when she keeps forgetting, I still have to remain cool.

Oh yes, to entice her to write, I get her colourful pens
