Good for you! -
i have been eyeing on something for many years and he is aware of it just that being the practical person he is, he says it is a waste of money ....he will rather spend the money on holidays or other more practical things like maybe a led 50\" tv \"...
As for flowers....the ones i received last was my wedding handbouquet. Not even because he was being romantic but rather it comes with the wedding package. It has been more than 10years.
As for Valentines Day we don't even celebrate this in the 1st place, Birthdays....gifts are selected by myself and he pays for them...but i will never chose anything expensive as he will feel the pinch... -

DH has only bought me three things:
1. A tennis bracelet when he first asked me to be his gf (ai kia steady mai?). This I thought was big budget as we'd just started going out.
2. A pair of earrings when we were shopping and chanced upon a good deal. No precious stones on them, just hoops in plain white-gold.
3. Our wedding rings.
But no complains, we are happy and very busy with DD
