I got mine at Kiddy Palace at Century Square (Tampines). They have quite a good collection.

Hi Mikii,

My boy is in P2 now. He is small and skinny, weighing only 18kg. He has been using the same SPI bag since P1. Yes, it's washable but I've only washed it 4 times so far. However, due to the material of the bag (plasticky), some of the dirt are rather tough to get rid of. So far, all compartments are well intact.

May get him a new one for P3 next year.

My daugther in K2 full day, so she needs to bring along her toiletries, changing clothes & towel to school everyday. Thinking to get her a trolley bag to relieving that heavy load on her shoulder and back.

Hi Peipei,

Getting a trolley bag for K2 is still alright as long as the school doesn't have many steps/stairs to move up and down. Imagine if there are, she'll have to carry the trolley bag which may be rather tough for your girl.

Why not get a proper bag for her to carry on her bag and at the same time, train her for P1 schooling? Some primary schools do not allow trolley bags because like I mentioned above, they've to carry the bags up and down the stairs as they climb. Nobody is going to help your kid as teachers are too busy taking care of the other kids.

The SPI bag follows the child. I wanted to let son continue with his first SPI bag when he was in P3, but it was not big enough to hold his books. So had to get the Large size. He's very skinny too but the SPI bag doesn't pull him down.

magic stain remover. For stubborn stains, get those white sponge (it's actually melamine), wet the white sponge thingy and rub on the dirty surface.


BUT test this on a non-noticeable area first becos colour may run. I use this all the time - it's available from isetan,and neighbourhood shops.

Not sure if I sound like salesman but it works on all surfaces.

Mine using Deuter too. I find the bag too ‘thin’. On days that my dd needs to bring bigger files to school, it’s kind of a squeeze.

But in anyway, I'll still get a new bag for him when he goes to P3. 2 years of usage is good enough. It's always nice to get new things for the new year.

Was advised by a mummy at isetan to go to spi store (kinderfun) to get it adjusted to my son’s height - will be doing so come Dec.
