You mean all resorts closed by end Oct because of the Monsoon?
Are you flying there? Do you know if we still need to take ferry if we take Berjaya Air? Which resort are you staying? How much is your package?
We are planning a holiday but have not decide on the venue. Redang is one of the place I thought of going. -

Yes, we’re taking Berjaya Air from Seletar airbase. Don’t remember wifey talking about ferry, so must be out of the picture. How much is the package . . . errr . . . dear wife asleep, let me check tomorrow morning. Why don’t you go into their website and check. -
I remember my fren telling me that if u book early, the airfare is only 200 each, if closer to the date, its 250… but with news that they may fly out from budget terminal… the price is supposed to increase… do check the website for specifics…

The best time to visit Redang is ard March after the corals have their 4 month break.
I have visited Redang twice during September. The water are murky beach is dirtier somehow. However, September is the whale shark migratory month. We bumped into one once. It was an experience. June is their peak period.
Berjaya Air flies from Seletar Airport right into Redang Island. They have been in operation since some 5 years back. Prior to that they only fly direct from Subang Airport.
During the Natas fair in Feb/march, Berjaya will offer the Fly and stay there promotion. They usually sell starting form $368 onwards for a 3D2N package for twin sharing (with brekfast) -

Only some parts I recall; others are still open. Anyway, nonid to be sad, it's good they are taking care of the corals to prevent further damage. -
Just come back from Redang 2 months ago… went during June holiday with my DH and 4yo DD
I think it depend on which resort you stay, most of the resort you still need to take a ferry to reach there, as the road in the island is not very well established.
Oct to Feb is their moonsoon period.
We went for a 4D3N, inclusive of all board meal, below is the daily activities:
- Wake up -> Breakfast
- Snorkel at marine park
- Come back - Shower
- Lunch
- Nap
- Snorkel at open sea
- Come back - play at beach near resort / continue to snorkel near resort
- Shower
- Dinner
- Relax near beach - play sand / walk on beach or to other resort / enjoy live music at resort
- Sleep
- Next morning - REPEAT
All we did were - SLEEP, EAT, SNORKEL (enjoy the sun and sea and nature) :imcool:
We manage to see baby shark, crown fish and eel… and many fishes...
