Mine using Deuter too. I find the bag too ‘thin’. On days that my dd needs to bring bigger files to school, it’s kind of a squeeze.

magic stain remover. For stubborn stains, get those white sponge (it's actually melamine), wet the white sponge thingy and rub on the dirty surface.

BUT test this on a non-noticeable area first becos colour may run. I use this all the time - it's available from isetan, and neighbourhood shops.

Not sure if I sound like salesman but it works on all surfaces. 😉
Ha ha ha .... Thanks for the info. Shall try it.

But in anyway, I'll still get a new bag for him when he goes to P3. 2 years of usage is good enough. It's always nice to get new things for the new year. 🙂

I also bought SPI bag (during isetan sale) and I do like the feel of it. Went to popular and saw a similar ergo bag - much much cheaper, but don’t quite like the feel of material used.

Was advised by a mummy at isetan to go to spi store (kinderfun) to get it adjusted to my son’s height - will be doing so come Dec.

How much is the SPI bag during sales?

It was one of those coupon offers - I think $79 for the bag. Bought it I think late last year.

                Hi

Both my DSs have been using their Deuter since P1 (currently, they're in P3 & P5). Personally, I think Deuter bags are really durable and value for $$. Just give it a good scrub and wash, it's as good as new.

Splendid choice, I should say...

                  Hi moomoo138,

May I know where can I find Deuter's schoolbag ? I would liked to take a look at it so that I can compare it with the SPI bag which my boy is currently using (the SPI bag is still great, though). And also what is the price range ?

                  Thanks,
                  Didi

I think you can find Deuter bags at OG or Isetan.

                        Hi Didi

Well we bought our DS's M size Deuter bag at Carrefour (Suntec) 5 years ago. It was slightly less than $90 after discount.

Seen him thrashing it around couple of times and it's still in good condition. We only wash it once every half yearly. I think it should be able to last another year before we buy him a new bag when he enters Sec 1.

Honestly, we didn't expect the bag to last that long (Wow! 5 years and still counting) and have bugeted to change his bag in every 1 - 2 years. Guess we did made the wise choice, really saved us quite abit of $$ there. :celebrate:
