Hi parents
Just want to check under phase 2c, is there ever any successful intake to BPPS for children staying at Bukit Panjang(Senja area) ? Heard BPPS is one of the "hot" school in the neighbourhood and balloting required even for <1km…
Also for school bus arrangement, what is the usual time for pickup from home and what time will the kids reach home after school?
Appreciate some advises…
Many thanks! -

Hi Hi, we were thinking whether to register our child to BPPS or another school. How are the teachers in this school? I’m sure the school does well academically… How about the general teaching philosophy of the teachers - do they push alot in academics or they encourage other soft skills like creativity, moral values, leadership skills, building confidence etc? What are some of their strong CCAs? Thanks a lot…

There is a staff (Mr. Yusoff) who sends out emails regularly to all registered PVs and gives details on date/activities/no of hours , and parents will response their availability to kind of 'booked' the slot to provide their service. Sometimes, there will be more PVs responding than the required no. and according to Mr. yusoff, he allocate activites on first reponse basis. Try to submit an email address where you log in everyday, even few times a day. This may improve your response time to choop the slot you are available. (sounds v kiasu)
For me. I did lots of library work, some computer lab mentoring, one time as a teacher's aide for a science center excursion.
If you are working FT, you may require to take leave to fulfill the 40hrs as all of them are on weekdays. Also advisable to pick activites which cover more hours at one session so that you do not have to keep 'chooping' the slots. lots of anxiety there as well. Try to complete 40hrs as early as possible in the one year of service period as school is not responsible to provide enough acitivities for all PVs to complete their 40hrs.
Hope this helps you . -
Hi Queeny,
when did you start your PV? So fast complete 40hrs. I had started to PV at BPPS but only 14hrs. Still got 26hrs to go. Recently Mr Yusoff send 3 email, will you join? R u staying within 1km? Finally found a PV parent for 2012 intake. Hope my DD can get in BPPS under P2B.
