:?: Just to double check the P1's will only have exams for EL, MA and MT only right? No HE and SS .

:!: You still want exams for HE and SS? Not me... :siam:

Exams only for English, Maths and Mother Tongue. πŸ™ I think it's more than enough for them already.

[/quote]Of course not πŸ˜› ...but just want double confirm....

I check with a parent who had an older kid in RMPS, she says that they will have worksheet tests and it will be graded. Not sure if this is the case now...will you be able to fish information from the FT on your side

          blue-march,

I just examined my DS's work.Seem like the MT still in Chapeter 10 as what they had just complete the tutorial workbook as at Chapter 10.
Ya, my dd's class just started chapter 11 on Monday. Her MT teacher said the unit review will be on next Wed instead.

I hope they check the information on the slip before they send out to parents. How can they be tested on the chapters that are not being taught? :stupid: They are making the parents so nervous!!

          Dear parents,

As i heard from my sister and some friends, P1 & 2 are just honeymoon period, wait till they go to P3 with additional subject (science)...and some said science is more difficult than Maths. My niece in P3 this year had all her subjects band 1 except for science that she scored 60+(mid year assessment)...so the panic button is now on for both the girl and her mum.

 Pardon my ignorance, Band 1 means what mark to what mark. Band 2 and so on and so forth... This is scary  ...imagine this is neighbourhood school...dare not think about the pressure from the so called'elite' schools.

My friend also said it is very tough, her P4 boy first Maths CA was so difficult that only 40% of the cohort pass ... i was like :!:

band 1 is 85 to 100, the rest of the banding i'm not too sure.... my niece is in a neighbourhood school (one of the better one in her area)and because she's in the best class of P3 so the teachers really drill them.
