Congratulations! I also went through similar experience sitting at the school for the last 2 hours of registration. For 2 days and a half , less applicants than vacancy at mgs. Then in the last 1 hour, parents showed up . Ballot required on 42 applicants and 37 vacancies....

I like BTPS surroundings nestled in the middle of a landed estate. I was not successful in Phase 2C for a SAP school in the East. Knowing that the other 'better' neighbourhood schools will most likely go into a ballot for Phase 2C Supp, I chose BTPS because of the good review online and offline (through my colleagues).

Yesterday, it was one of the nerve wrecking experience for me. As my home was more than 2km from BTPS, any balloting could spoil my chances of getting in the school (and my nerves as well). I was one of the first to register at 8am. When I left at 8.20am, there were 15 parents (for 75 vacancies). At 3.45pm when I called the school it left only 10 vacancies. I thought to myself, this is going to be close... At 4.45pm after the registration ended, I called again and was greeted with \"No Ballot\". This is truly one of the highlights of my year!!

Looking forward to see my daughter in BTPS next year!

But going to send PV form for my 2007 DD2. Hope can be interview by them. Can you tell me more about the PV system? Btw how you write when there is a question of : Reason for chosing the school

That question of 'why did you choose this school?' is rather tricky.
Zoe Tay's eldest son is a '05 child...classmates with cousin's son at St James...fed up :x with cousin's wife repeating non-stop about rubbing shoulders with her everyday.

Zoe Tay intends to put her son at Nanyang...it was mentioned b4, if she stays within 1km, still have to ballot.

Is it Zoe Tay you are referring to? I thought her son is registering next year? He was born in 2005.
