My DS got a CO from school A. Once accept during Oct posting, Is there any chances for him to opt for other schools (school B) if PSLE results higher than expected?


I heard such case can appeal to school-B then withdraw from school-A.. Is it true?

Yes, it is possible to appeal. my DD last yr's PSLE result was better than the DSA sch she got. I appeal for the top 2 girls' schs. Both called and I choose one. I went to the school and get a letter of transfer on the 24th Dec and then go to the DSA sch to sign a letter of transfer.

The main stress is after getting the result and totally regretted accepting the DSA sch and thinking if the appeal will be sucessful. My Nov holiday was a disater as I kept thinking about the appeal.

BTW, most schools have appeal forms ready via the web immediately after the PSLE result.

Nothing personal here, but I strongly feel that it is not right to accept a DSA offer with the intention of transferring to a \"better\" school. It is also not the right message to send to our children that it is ok to break a commitment.

In the tea session that we've attended at NYGH (seems like this session is for GEPers with interview + main stream ); there're 3 queues - one for RGPS (abt 20- 30 students), another one for NYPS (abt 20 - 30 plus ??) and then one queue for the other schools. Almost all the sch got only 1 or 2 students; except GEP sch eg Tao nan (abt 10 - 12) . Not sure whether there're subsequent tea sessions for the main streamers.

This is the tea session for those with confirmed offers? What's the purpose of the tea?
