Both the primary and secondary schools worked jointly as one of the Centre of Excellence for performing arts. They spend alot of $$$ and efforts on these CCAs. It's part of their culture
thought their niche program shld b rope skipping and handball???mrswongtuition:
Recently PLMGS seems to get more popular with parents.
1. Niche program -> Performing arts (they are Centre of Excellence for Performing Arts)
see MOE weblink: http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/primary/files/primary-one-registration-info-sheet.pdf
The girls sing on a daily basis (and I do not mean the national anthem).

U mean i can really do that - register at 1 school & apply later at another? Will that be risky?Actually you should register in GMPS first (under 2A) - at least you have a seat there liao. Then - monitor the situation at PLMGS and MS - before deciding if you want to withdraw your name from GMPS and apply for the latter schools....
But to be honest, unless you really dont like GMPS - its really not worth the risk to give up a confirmed seat for a shot at balloting. What happens if you end up with neither -- i think it would be worse! :stupid:
If really unlucky that i cant get a seat @ PLMGS, i can't go back to GMPS right?
Also, i will have to be stressful again for my son (born in 2008) if i apply another school for him.
Its not i don't really like GMPS, i just felt that we are so near a better school (PLMGS) that it seems a tad silly not to try. But like what u mentioned, if we end up with neither, its really quite scary!
mrswongtuition, i have missed the deadline to register for PV. So have to depend on distance & luck. BTW, where did u get the info that usually within 1 km don't need to ballot? cos i saw from the registration history, mostly need balloting. Correct me if i'm wrong... -
Yes. You can withdraw from your earlier successful registration from school A and apply at school B.
And yes, once you withdrawn, your place in school A is gone. -

My mum still staying at Lor Ah Soo. Try to get near the market. You will not regret. Super convenient with coffeeshops, hawker centre, shops, etc etc.
My mum loves the area so much that she refuses to sell the house away though we've been offered 100k abv valuation.
BTW, most blocks there have lift at every level now.
Most of the upgrading works have been completed
