Yup, according to MOE website, PH suppose to have SNO starting this July. My aunt who's a teacher in another school said SNO can't do much since they have the WHOLE school under their charge and they're not there everyday 😞 plus, other dyslexic parents with primary-going kids say that since my kid is with DAS already, SNO won't bother much about him as he has external support. SNO will only help those who can't get other supports. I wish all this is not true. Will definitely need to speak to the SNO and confirm what he/she can do for my child. Already sent email to request an appointment with SNO, now simply got to wait.

You may be right. Nevertheless, do raise your concerns with the SNO and persist on to see how can the school support your son's learning needs there. Well, if the child is in the school, it is just right for the school to do what they can to help.

        Hi Jennifer,

Any recommendation for Upper Primary English assessment book pls ? Need your advice to get some assessment for English grammar as those I bought are not of much help.
I have 'Conquer Grammar', 'Challenging English 4-in-1' & 'New English Grammar & Vocab worksheet'. Thanks πŸ™‚

There is a Teachers' Pdtn on conquer vocab. I bou P5 n P6 then. I also hv the Challenging but still untouched. P5 supplementary materials stated in the booklist was very thick. Really no need n no time for extra bou by me. Those synthesis, transformation, editing ones (think 3 books) also did a few pages only.

Synthesis & Transformation is rather tricky, as the answers given don't seem to sound grammatically right. Do you feel the same way ?
You mean there is supplementary materials in the booklist ? Then I'll hold back on getting anymore. Thanks πŸ™‚

                Hi Jennifer,

Looks like I have to focus more on his weak areas…for some time, I’ve put aside Editing. How is your older son ? Has he adapted to life in Sec 1 ?
