Music faculty is one of the most rigorous art form next to dance but rewarding if music is your passion. Be prepared for long hours ie. up to 6pm everyday. .
My ds1 not in sota also stay in school until 5 to 7pm everyday except for the rare day. Nothing unusual in secondary school.

              Congratulations !!

At this point pf the year, I can say for sure that SOTA is a good fit for those very passionate about their artform, they physically work very hard. We are seriously thinking of giving up dance outside of SOTA as it’s really tough managing the schedules and coaching lessons for external exams.

For students who are entering the school because they might want to pursue the artforms or for the prestige … please think carefully. A large portion of academic work in the later years is related to their artform and if your child is not interested in these subjects (which are their core exam subjects) it will be tough going.

If you give up dance outside of SOTA, does it mean giving up the RAD syllabus? What syllabus does SOTA offer in lieu of the RAD vocationals?

What are the hours like in terms of academic vs art form? Does a typical academic portion of the school finish at 12, followed by art form in the afternoon?

                  Thanks 😉

Very happy to be selected but just having some fear of coping. As we heared that student have to self study and be independent and it very different from the sec schools where the teachers are feeding with notes and guidence.

Also, since they have a unique curriculum, i cant send her for tution incase, if i cant help her.

Any comforting words from the seniors :?

All the abv is for the academic part as for the drama, no worries, she is great in that.
