Yesterday just registered my gal at this school so hope parents here can share some tips info about P1. The office staff told me that started this year, P1 and p2 students need to stay back every thurs. What exact about the activities?

apparently yes. On their Robotics CCA niche; what's new?
hm...I have yet to learn if it is an across-the-level niche programme available to all students on a regular enrichment basis or accessible only to a privileged group of CCA students only :idea:, any veteran parents can comment? if it is the latter, i will have to say that the PAL programme benefits most LPS students rather than the niche CCA and that should be the main draw of the school.

The school does extend a basic robotics 3/4 weeks program to P3 students before assessing/selecting the kids for robotics club. My short sighted boy got that chance but did not sign up because he did not want to \"waste\" his Friday afternoon for club meeting. Now we challenge him to sign up. Don't know whether he will be accepted or not.

Yesterday received the letter from LH abt orientation. They given whole book lists that need to purchase. It is able to get from outside like popular? pls advise some advise. Thanks!

not sure about this year, but for my boy, last year, chinese and math textbooks can get from Popular. they did not use the CL flashcards for P1 and P2 (which is available in Popular too)....i still bought them cos i am using it for ds2. some optional things like 'picture dictionary' is optional. art and social studies and health education, i am not sure...maybe you can email Popular Bookstore to ask.
we bought ours from the sch bookshop cos of the convenience.

Learned from today’s PTM sessions; next yr P3 to expect 2 CAs and 2 SAs.

is it the same for other levels?

"Jialat", last year, P3 we didn’t have CA1, only CA2 & SA1/2. Furthermore CA2 result didn’t contribute to overall result calculation. Lucky for my son, he didn’t do as well in CA2.
