Music?

Just wondering, what sort of music do the kiasuparents here listen to?

-
I used to laugh at my parents when they tune in to the oldies.
Now I find myself tuning in to the oldies of my time...

Very true! when we're older, the music we grew up with becomes the new 'oldies'

I wake up every morning to the music on class 95 (i think) playing songs by Beatles, Air supply, Anne Murray, Olivia Newton John (heard one of her songs this morning)... Very telling, isn't it?
When my girl is back, I will have to listen to all the J-pops... of which a few are my favourites too...
Good thing my son is not into music... -
Same as Jedamum, I'm into oldies too.. even when I was in Primary Sch, I loved my dad's gen songs of Elvis, Frank Sinatra, etc..
OLDIES ARE GOODIES..
This reminds me..when I started my first job, we freshies referred to the seniors as 'THE AUNTIES' (in their 30+), now seeing the gen of 1980+ working together, I guess we realized we have become the 'THE AUNTIES' leow..

Looks like I belong to the \"older\" group as listening to the classics of 60s-80s....

ha ha I listen mostly to oldies and songs are like are usually classified as retro now. We listen to occaional jazz and classical or whatever DS wants when we are in the car. When he is 2-3 he will go I don’t like this music! and we change …his taste can be really varied though. from time to say goodbye (opera?) to who let the dogs out?! (don know the name of the song…just ds like to sing along when it is on the radio)

My choice is music, no lyrics, so classical or just instrumental. My office radio would tune in to class 90.5 which plays more oldies. When DH is home, it would be more R&B, which is better than those rap
(to me, rap is like some nonsensical that was made up to legally rejoice swearing/cursing) that he loved so much when i first met him. To expose DS to his dad's culture, we would also tune in to radio stations online during weekends that plays parang/calyso/reggae. DS loves them, sometimes he would request and would dance to the tunes, which is really cute. -
I actually listen to a wider variety than sashimi, even when we both listen to classical music, our tastes also vary. However, I love rock best but don’t get much of a chance to listen to it at home since sashimi doesn’t have a ear for it and we agree that we should play less rock and more, er, "ear-friendly" and "brain-friendly" music at home.

Andrea Bocelli - Con te Partiro? Haha and the 'who let the dogs out' song is by Baha Men.. Very varied taste haha..
