U need to fulfill 40 hrs. Depends on what the school’s needs are…they will ask you to help in those areas.
Does any body knows that how many years before enrolment do I need to register and complete the volunteer work?
You need to fulfill the 40 hours by June 30 (not very sure the exact date) of the year your child is to register for P1, ie, the year he / she is in K2. So you must volunteer when he/she is in K1.

          You must be in the programme for at least 1 full year (1 July - 30 June) and must complete at least 40 hours by the end of that period.

          So if you are planning to register your child next year and want to do PV for a chance to try for Phase 2B, you have less than a week to register yourself for PV.

            Hi Chief Kiasu, :lol:

            What are we suppose to do after we had submitted the PV forms? Is there a way we can check the school havd received how many PV?

            Very afraid if perfrom the PV then if in phase 2B still enter into ballot. The only area not able to gauge is the Active Community Leader where they also enroll under Phase 2B(2).

              I came to know that Nanyang Primary request their parent volunteers to submit their CVs to the school. Firstly, the school conduct panel interview to select PVs, then they also asks for parents CVs. Wow, being a PV in that school is really like going for job interview. But there again, those selected as PVs must be like striking lottery…afterall, its going to last for generations, for as long as they continue to give priority to former students.

                Nanyang is reputed to be the choice school of many politicians for their children. I guess that makes it unsurprising that it requires quite stringent PV procedures.

                  Precisely....so don't expect to see any changes to phase 2A.

                        Helllo All;

                        I am new here, Wonder if anyone experience getting PV from Singapore Chinese girls. Any special procedures and need to register how many years in advance?

                        I heard from friend that if you want to do PV for Raffle Girl need at least 3 years . (if your kid born in year 2005 need to register for PV from 1 Jan 09 on ward)

                        Thank you.
