IMHO, Nanhua and BPGH still quite far off

In term of psle intake cutoff point, Nan Hua has very good quality intake compare to some of these potential IP schools.

Don't think PSLE COP is a major point of consideration when determining if a sch should go IP.
No press release yet from MOE. But I heard the following schools are in:

Catholic High
Victoria School
SJI
MGS
SCGS

The other 2, not sure, but heard not BPGH, Nan Hua or Chung Cheng High.

I guess the other two are Cedar and St Nic

Not sure whether the past years performance of the potential schools' in the \"O\" level as per http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/files/2009/09/moa-2009-annex-e1.pdf plays a part in the selection of these new 7 IP schools or not? It's really sad if schools like http://www.andersonsec.moe.edu.sg/web1/index.asp and http://www.crescent.edu.sg/ are not included in this round of 7 new IP schools.

Band 1 status (Average L1B5 less than 11) for Express stream
Anderson Sec: 2005 (10.5), 2006 (9.6), 2007 (10.3), 2008 (10.0) and 2009 (10.4)
Crescent Girls: 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009

These 2 schools had attained band 1 status for 5 years in a row.

VC's mum
But there is already precedence that selection of IP school is not based purely on academic results. ACSI wasn't even in the top 10 list before they got their IP status. I think MOE also consider the school strength in putting up a good viable programme.

there should be positive impact to the current PSLE batch as they will have more chances of getting into IP program if the 7 new IP schools take immediate effect

hence the news now will be good news for the kids to work hard for the next 35 days to score well for PSLE....and Please don't Stop Learning Everything

My friend’s son scored 25+ and couldn’t get a place at HCI. He went to his second choice which is a ‘band 1’ school. He scored 7A1s for O levels and went to RI (JC). If now, he would have gotten into one of the new IP schools and missed his opportunity of studying at RI. It is messy.
