The more standard answers would be:
1) Audrey is not only pretty but also smart.
2) Audrey is not only pretty, but she is also smart.
3) Audrey is not only pretty, she is also smart.

Actually I thought:

Audrey is not only pretty, but smart as well/too.

is fine, but apparently, to be on the safe side, use the ‘not only … also’ structure.

a) seems correct.
in b), the his may no be referring to Bala

My son knows lie and lain has the meaning of lie and laid and lay has the same meaning as lay. But he does not know when to put lay and laid. If he puts lay the answer is laid if he puts laid the answer is lay :stupid:
