I have 1 question here bcos my girl's insisted that her answer is right but its not the same as the answer from \"Old School Test paper.

(1) Mould & ferns reproduce by spores
(2) Mould reproduces by spores but fern reporoduces by seed

My girl's answer is (1) but the paper answer is (2)
She say non flowering plants reproduce by spore not seeds.

Your girl is the smart one.
Ferns are vascular plants . They differ from seed plants in their mode of reproduction—lacking flowers and seeds.
At this level, I believe they will learn characteristics by grouping generally, i.e. flowering and non-flowering plants.

Just for general knowledge, conifers are exception of non-flowering but can produce seeds

Anyone know where I can get the list of like which are
(1) floating plants (2) totally submerged plants (3) flowering plants
(4) non flowering plants. (5) Poisonous plant (6) non- poisonous plants
Because most of these information are not in the text book .

My son had a science test recently and one of the question is what kind of materials can be used to make schoolbags. He put down the answer as fabric and leather but was marked wrong for leather. The teacher told him that leather is too expensive and heavy to be used for schoolbags. What is your take on this?

I agree with the teacher. Leather is not a common material used to make school bags so , may not be acceptable in this case.

At the prices some of these bags are going for these days, I think school bags are made from paper money and plastic credit cards. And lot's of parents' sweat and tears.

Jokes aside, I just thought that though it is not common to use leather for school bags, it is not entirely wrong because bags can be made from leather and leather bags can be used by mature students as school bags.

haha...can't agree more....that debunks all normal science....should be social science.
