Dear tiger, if u are also sensible and respectful with your words, please do not despise CH boys.
. Pls be more respectful wif ur words. I am an old sji boy and maintaining traditions have got nothing to do with gf. Besides, getting involved in bgr relationships at their age is impractical and unwise, if you are a sensible parent, you would not post such remarks. Besides, coming from ur viewpoint, sji boys are much more cultured and presentable as compared to CH boys. It has been recently announced that wadeva u say online can be used against you legally in court.WeiHan:
You all keep talking about CHS...
Now they have two girl friends...can yaya liao if they see SJI boys.
Everybody has one girl friend, CHS has two....SJI zero girl friend, so loogi and malu. maintain what tradition? MOE can easily nudge them into accepting scgs by using this psycholical tactic. -

BUT now with latest batch of IP schools, prestigious schools with good history/name are maybe 80-90% already in IP category already ... so most of these are the not as famous ones that were formerly in the top 15 to top 25 or 30 category (assume before IP programme started)... -

Remember early this year when a lady wrote to ST forum about her daughter not being able to enter VJC despite getting 4 points?verykiasu2010:
If you think about it, with this move, the current top 5 JCs (RIJC, HCJC, NJC, TJC, VJC) all have affiliated IP sec. It will get harder to get in to these JCs via \"O\" Level results.
sigh! that is the truth
Now MOE said that these JCs will keep 20% of places only for non-IP students, it will be even more difficult to enter now.
i also read somewhere ONLINE forum a guy got into VJC with 4 points.... but that guy is Victoria school boy.... b4 or after bonus , CCA or Higher Chinese points i m not sure... maybe thats why... 4 point minus 2 or more points from Higher Chinese or CCA -

It has been recently announced that wadeva u say online can be used against you legally in court.
 I am so sorry......I didn't know that I can be sued because someone else lost his gf. -

LOL but totally agree with this. The background and culture of SCGS and St Nic is so different.
after that turn blue.....verykiasu2010:
It is stranger for SCGS to merge with St Nic and CHS.....but this should make CHS boys over the moon and Nic gals see red, then green.....
(couldn't resist this ....lol)
This is certainly a strange arrangement. But to me is not so much of the culture or religion aspects since Singapore is a multiracial, multi-religious country. The thing that I am more concern is whether it will be a homogeneous group with similar standard.
Correct me if my info is wrong. The COP for affiliated students to get into CHS and St Nick is around 230-235 each year whereas SCGS is 200. There is a 30 to 35 points different. Unless they adjust the COP to be around the same, otherwise it could be quite difficult for them to achieve similar standard in year 5. -

There is no affiliation for IP track, strictly based on merits. So it will not be cut off at 200 or 230. I think the cut off for IP could be higher than 255.

with mrt circle line, the distance problem is kind of solved. actually very convenient.hey...anyone consider the distances?
cedar girls' is not near vjc
and scgs is not near catholic high/st nicholas - so where are they going to build the jc?
moe can find some land to build new JC one la. no need worry. -
