Did anyone watch the news last night, or read the papers today? They talked about the re-designed classrooms.

The fun and play quotient in all primary schools will be raised several notches once new facilities are added to offer young students a more holistic education.

And in a further boost for sports, all schools will have synthetic turf fields, if they need one. Also, an indoor sports hall (ISH) will be built in each primary school.

Very soon, classrooms will be redesigned and equipped with an array of learning resources including a listening post where computers, CD players and headsets are stored for students to practise their listening skills.

Classes will also be divided into smaller groups so teachers can pay closer attention to weaker students.

Students can also expect to take part in a range of performing arts as well as experience learning out-of-doors.

Wonder whether RMPS will have the redesigned classrooms? :scratchhead:

Maybe next time our kids just need to bring laptop to school?

Maybe during the Meet The Principal can enquire more on this issue.
Ya soon the school would be fitted with wifi where students would be require to bring laptop to school.

Anyone DS or DD had been switching to attend chinese in differnet classes? My DS had been mixed with P1C due to MT teacher either on leave or on MC. Good that he had get to know some new friends.

I thought half of 1C joins 1D (or 1F, can't remember exactly) while the other half joins 1E for Chinese lessons? :scratchhead:

Don't know. It seems like 1B has high turnover for MT teacher. Don't know what's the problem.

Getting worried now.... My daughter will be in P1 next year. I pray hard that she won't get this MT teacher.

RMPS will be introducing PAL (Program for Active Learning) next year. More information on PAL can be found in MOE's website below:

One of the schools that started PAL this year had to extend their curriculum time by half an hour everyday in order to accommodate this PAL. Wonder whether RMPS will adjust the curriculum timing next year? :scratchhead:

:thankyou: for the update. Looks like they will becos it was mentioned that the PAL module will be conducted 2 hrs a week in the article. If not, how to cope :?

I think this is good for the kids - to have a more well-rounded development of in the five learning domains (cognitive, moral, social, aesthetics and physical) and help to develop social emotional competencies. Dont want my kid to have IQ and no EQ.
