Congrats, laifeeling. Yes, it is extremely difficult to get in thru dance, not to say to join the dance CCA there. Can share about the DSA? Heard that they are required to do Jazz dance as well? TIA

She was also asked to do different types of stretching to test her flexibility. Understand that SCGS teaches all types of dance like jazz, ballet and chinese dance.

Thank you for your information. Really not easy and I believe your dd must be very good in the dance and able to stretch very well. :celebrate:

Thanks Snowz. Grade 5 RAD is required. she scored Grade 1,2,4 in distintion but only 70 for G5. As I mentioned, during the audition, teacher will perform different types of dance like jazz, ballet and chinese dance once and dd will have to try her best to remember the steps and perform to the judges. there were about 11 of them called for the group interview. questions like what is your favourite colour and why, if you have difficulty and how you over come it....and more...let me know if you need more info. 😄

Thank you fruitplus. SCGS doesnt have choir on their DSA list but one can apply under the 'Others' category - they only take 1-2 children in that category. Guess we got lucky!!
