Side track abit, JH1 boarding commence this Sunday, wonder your kids are excited about it.

      My DD cannot wait!!!

All packed? My ds so busy. Just finished exams today, and then tomorrow busy with projects & science fest. How to finish homework & projects before boarding? He can't even make the boarding alloted time. I have to remember to ask him if he has let his teacher know about that. But then the rest in the group would be affected, so I guess not so bad lah.

Are you all going to bring suitcase or what? I told him pack everything in suitcase, then empty in his room, then I bring the suitcase back, then he say - er, I don't need it for bringing things back on Friday, ah? I was like \"On fridays - bring WHAT back that you need SUITCASE for?!\".

muahahaha... yr ds so cute hor. no, not packed yet but we have put aside most stuff required. was thinking of packing them into carton boxes ... she wasnts to bring her bolster, big soft huggy soft toy, quilt (cos senior says it can be quite cold in the morning), tidbits, biscuits, instant noodles ... at the rate she is going, she might as well move everything!

        INNOVATE:

        Congratulations to all successful applicants.

With so many supportive parents and enthusiastic kids, it boils well for the future of NJC.

Do you realize that NJC thread has the highest number of pages at 160+. The second highest school does not even come close? Would it be fair to say that the parents are more involved, the students are more enthusiastic, and there are lots of interest? Or are there any other reasons for it?

I noticed that too..I'd like to think that NJC has more proactive and hands-on parents which a very good thing as I firmly believe in parental involvement and support in your children's education.

It has been proven that children from supporting family environment not only do well in their studies but in life as a whole. One of the things that attract us to NJC is the holistic approach to education. Life is all about balance.

Wah, sound so good, ah? I'm not quite sure about this though! haha! But I do know the teachers are mostly quite approachable. I have no problems communicating with the teachers via email - get replies fairly quickly.

We intend to load her stuffs into suitcase (cabin size) and leave it for her weekly return usage. Ya, she will bring her pillow, quilt, tibits and all study materials.

            Questions:-
Are parents allowed to send our kid to their respective room on check-in day?
Do they need to be in uniform on the day of check-in? :?:

Was told during the site visit that parents are allowed this Sunday when we send them. One and only time allowed, they say.

Dont think u need to be in uniform when you check in.

Suitcase may not work for us cos she may have to take a bus home on some fridays and it would be diff to lug. Will bring a big bag to bring back mainly the dirty clothes.

See? mine is probably thinking that she is going on a holiday - didnt put her books aside for packing :faint:

Aye, we haven't even done this. No maid these few weeks and I have a 2yo to run around and juggle about. And my ds1 so busy. ;( Maybe pack on Saturday.
