Sadly, the above mentioned assumptions are consistently being pandered generally.

:goodpost: :goodpost:

All the myth circulating, posing as truth.

what myth?

When PSLE is not seen as the BIGGEST test in the life of an 11+/12 year old, when reporters do not stalk popular schools when results are released, when tuition centers do not mention the top student who once studied there, perhaps stress on the poor kids are reduced. More steps can be put in place.

Parents are kiasu because MOE made them so.

And that, is complete nonsense.

care to elaborate why janet_lee88's post is complete nonsense?

well understood, that your suggestion make no mention of car-less people. these subsidies/freebies are for car-ed people only. since this has nothing to do with car-less people, they better not read this. tio bo?

no

don't care whether car buyer is car-less or car-ed people or not

if you want a subsidised COE or free COE, just show me your 3 or more kids .... plus must qualify hor, from same marriage, not from 3 diff wives

sorry my england very bad that you always get me wrong

sorry my england is \"poor\". now u say is for car buyer, if not car buyer, subsidy/freebie not for them. tio bo?

long time no visit ksp liao.
as I proposed before, gov't should give family with 3 or more kids a subsidised COE or free COE with more than 4 kids .... part of procreation incentive...sure to help in a car crazy society

damned good idea! - encourage car owners to procreate, and non car owners are discouraged from procreating?
KSP:
why not charge more or 2X the COE price for those DINK families for having 2nd car.... 🦆
won't happen, coz policy makers themselves kana.

you got it wrong way round

free or subsidised COE comes only after procreating 3 or more kids, else not free and no subsidy

not \"encourage car owners to procreate\", nor car-less people not to procreate as you put it
well understood, that your suggestion make no mention of car-less people. these subsidies/freebies are for car-ed people only. since this has nothing to do with car-less people, they better not read this. tio bo?

As to why such banks choose FT over local (since both supposedly have same skillset for mid-management role & locals are cheaper), I would like to leave this discussion out (confidentiality & sensitivities' issues).
...
Just my opinion only.
I've seen FTs who are worth every bit of what they are paid for, and also those who are not.
What I cannot understand is people who insist on keeping the bad ones and happily let the good ones leave.
In some cases, I find that \"sensitivities & confidentiality\" = stupidity. 😉
It doesn't look good in the long run.

my company allow flexi-hours and work-from-home arrangements for some years now. it seem to work well in most places, except in Singapore, especially with local staff. Somehow FTs do better.
