Where is this restaurant near to? Any nearby subway station? I would be staying in a hotel near Pan Jia Yuen.

This is one or two blocks behind Oriental Plaza, (Grand Hyatt), side lane along Wang Fu Jin shopping street, can also eat 狗不理包子 from another shop in front of this Quan Ju De

Most tourist to Beijing will end up in Wang Fu Jin one way or another...and is near the Catholic Church too

Thanks. So if I can find my way to Oriental Plaza, then I should be able to find this restaurant?

hope you enjoy the Beijing trip ......

(for regular visitors, it is a chore because of pollution & traffic jams)

Beijing is capital of China : 中国首都, it is also its 首堵 (No 1 Jam)

Beijing can be described one big carpark because it is traffic jam every where at all hours 大型停车场

在北京, 没有话不敢说 (in Beijing, can say anything as it is the capital)
在上海, 没有衣不敢穿 (in Shanghai, can dress anything as it is fashion capital)
在广州, 没食物不敢吃 (in Guangzhou, can eat anything as it is the foodie capital)

在北京, 怕自己官小 (in Beijing, only worry is ownself's ranking too low, too many other high ranking officials mah)
在上海, 怕自己钱少 (in Shanghai, only worry is ownself's money not enough, because everyone else is super rich)
在海南, 怕身体不好 (in Hainan, only worry is ownself's body not strong enough ......too many beautiful ladies ....)

okay, enough nonsense to get your Beijing trip going .. :rotflmao:

              the locals say…

              不到长城非好汉,
              到了长城真遗憾。
              爬了半天腿发软,
              谁登得高谁笨蛋。

Hi, I have booked a 8 days tour to Beijing (5 days Beijing, 1 day Chengde, 1 day Tianjin) for early Dec. We’ll be going with my kids (11 yrs, 10 yrs). I have read so much about the cold weather in Dec.

Do you have any suggestions on where can I buy good woollen thermal wear in Spore and for kids, are the usual sports shoes Ok for the weather in Dec?

Any advice for me and any tips on we an still enjoy our winter holiday…

                  Thanks!

                    http://www.coldwear.com.sg/

the store provides very good advice for the varying degree of coldness, from plus 10 to minus 30

rule of thumb : avoid bulky clothes

shoes : good leather shoes with velvet lining inside, avoid shoes that have \"pores\" - cold air and icy water may seep in .... just personal preference, and must have good grip because certain place on the street may have 'icing' or black ice and can cause nasty slip .... saw a Jap tourist slipped and rolled down the great wall....camera smashed

How do you order Peking Duck? We are a family of 3 and can’t possibly finish a whole duck.

                      Thanks.
